clean-salmonClean Mercury-Tested Salmon

Vital Choice salmon are wild caught from the cold waters of the clean North Pacific outside of Alaska and Canada. This means that they are not fed a diet of corn, grain, or soy pellets. This also means a rich delicious flavor! Responsibly Harvested from Pure Alaskan Waters. After hatching, the Alaskan salmon swim upstream to very clear and pure fresh water lakes. They will feed and grow here before swimming out into the Bering Sea. Vital choice works closely with Alaskan natives to ensure that the salmon are harvested during their migration. Unlike the toxin filled salmon available in most stores, Vital Choice Salmon — is packaged through an advanced flash-freezing technique to safely ensure nutrient preservation while maintaining the fresh caught flavor. All canning is done immediately with fresh fish only to preserve the quality and integrity of the fish.

Grass Fed Beef & Bison

High quality animal protein for your family is very hard to find in common neighborhood health food stores. Nearly 100% of the beef sold in health food stores is not “real” beef. It may be organic—the cattle are fed organic grains. But it is a well-known fact that cattle are not designed to eat grains!

  • The fat content of beef is the #1 reason why many recommend against eating it.
  • Most beef cuts have a high fat content, ranging from 35-75%
  • The majority of beef fat is saturated.
  • According to Animal Science 2000 “Grain fed beef can have an omega 6:3 ratio higher than 20.1”

This is significantly higher than the 4.1 ratio range where health problems become evident due to essential fat imbalance. Omega 3 fats are needed for healthy cell membranes and brain function. They are essential for normal growth and may play an important role in the prevention and treatment of many chronic diseases that plague us today

Traditional feedlot animals quickly lose their Omega 3 content. After 6 months of “finishing” Omega-3 levels have dropped nearly 85%. In contrast grass fed beef has an omega 6:3 ratio closer to 1:1. Science suggests this ratio to be ideal for our diet. This is nearly the same ratio that wild caught (not farm raised) fish has. Grass fed beef usually has less than 10% of its fat as saturated. If you are a pregnant or breastfeeding mom, the extra omega 3 from the grass fed beef will provide incredible nutritional benefits for your child.
